In the same way as in the case of businesses through Commission-approved framework programmes, smaller amounts of aid (de minimis) may be granted, even though this form of aid is not one of the approved ones. At least three companies cooperating on a project may be granted up to 50 per cent of the cost, but not exceeding EUR 100,000 (ca SEK 900,000) in public aid per participating company, during a three-year period. However, the Sweden-Norway programme may not pay this aid directly to the businesses, but rather through a framework programme conducted by the agency responsible for the de minimis aid..
